Catching a Six Gill Bluntnose Shark

The Changing Seas crew was aboard the R/V (Research Vessel) Weatherbird II in the Northern Gulf of Mexico as they were conducting research on deep water sharks. Their first day at sea was successful resulting in the capture, tagging and ultimately releasing back into the Gulf, a near 15 foot six gill bluntnose shark.
