Federal laws have been in place since the 1980’s to preserve and protect the right to vote of the physically disabled. Despite that, voter turnout is still historically low in individuals with visual, mobile or cognitive disabilities. How easy is it for the over 27.5 million Americans with disabilities to access the polls?
