In 2013, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) revealed a lack of progress and accountability in the U.S. Agency for International Development - USAID's reconstruction efforts in Haiti following the devastating 2010 earthquake. Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen criticized USAID for wasting tax payer dollars. And she said the people of Haiti deserved better.
