Viewpoint - The Right to Die
Special | 26m 36s
In certain cases, should we be permitted to opt for physician assisted suicide?
Brittany Maynard, a 29-year-old, chose to die after receiving a diagnosis of terminal brain cancer. She wished to die on her own terms using the pills prescribed to her by her physicians – rather than by the cancer itself. In certain cases, should we be permitted to opt for physician assisted suicide? Currently only 5 states permit the practice.
