Well before the establishment of the Everglades as a national park in 1947, activists have worked to conserve this important ecosystem. As we recognize the National Parks Services’ 100th anniversary, The Reverend Houston Cypress, co-founder of the “Love the Everglades” movement, joins us to discuss his group’s efforts to continue this work and their 3-day event, dedicated to raising awareness.
